Follow Up Fox Lite is a Chrome extension for manual follow-up reminders from Gmail and Google Calendar activity. It does not draft emails, send emails, use AI generation, sync to a Fox server, sell data, or connect to a CRM.
Information Fox uses
Fox uses Google account access only after you connect Google in the extension. Fox may use:
- Your Gmail profile email address, so reminders stay scoped to the connected account.
- Gmail sent-message metadata, including sender, recipients, subject, thread ID, date, and snippets.
- Gmail thread metadata, so Fox can detect whether someone from an account replied after your latest outbound email.
- Google Calendar event data from calendars you own, including meeting time, title, attendees, location, description, source link, and event IDs.
- Locally entered follow-up details such as contact email, contact name, follow-up date, notes, reminder status, ignored subjects, ignored patterns, and settings.
Fox asks Chrome for clipboard write access only so visible copy buttons can copy contact emails you choose to copy.
How Fox uses information
- Show possible follow-ups from recent sent Gmail activity.
- Detect replies that should pause a follow-up reminder.
- Create private Google Calendar follow-up reminders when you opt in.
- Keep local follow-up state, settings, ignored subjects, notification choices, and reminder outcomes.
- Open the relevant Gmail thread or Calendar event when you click it.
Fox does not use Gmail or Calendar data for advertising, profiling, AI model training, credit decisions, or unrelated product analytics.
Storage and sharing
Fox stores extension data in Chrome local storage on your device using chrome.storage.local.
Fox does not send your Gmail, Calendar, reminder, or settings data to a Fox server. Fox does not sell your data. Fox does not share your data with third parties, except for the Google API calls required to read Gmail/Calendar data and create Calendar reminders at your request.
Google API Limited Use
Fox's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Fox does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, comply with law, address security issues, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets after proper notice.
Fox does not use Google user data to serve ads. Fox does not allow humans to read Google user data unless you ask for help, the data is needed for security or legal reasons, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
Data retention and deletion
Fox keeps local extension data until you delete it, uninstall the extension, clear Chrome extension storage, or remove items from the extension UI. You can remove Fox data by:
- Deleting reminders or marking them complete in Fox.
- Clearing extension storage in Chrome.
- Uninstalling Follow Up Fox Lite from Chrome.
- Revoking Google access from your Google Account permissions page.
Permissions
- Gmail read-only access, to read Gmail metadata and snippets used for follow-up detection.
- Owned-calendar event access, to read recent eligible meetings and create/update/delete Fox-created reminders on calendars you own.
- Chrome storage, alarms, notifications, side panel, identity, and clipboard write permissions for the local extension experience.
- Access to mail.google.com, so Fox can read visible Gmail thread context through its content script.
- Access to Google API domains, so Fox can call Gmail and Calendar APIs after you connect Google.
